Today was a blessed day as my husband, His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodimma CON, and I worshipped at the Government House Chapel earlier, marking Father’s Day!

The homily focused on John Chapter 15, reflecting on the events of The Last Supper where Jesus gave the new commandment: “Love one another as I have loved you.” This prompts us to consider Christ’s love for us and how we can extend that love to others.

In 1 Corinthians 13:8-13, we are reminded of the enduring qualities of God’s love; characterized by humility, patience, honesty, and perseverance. True love rejoices in truth and endures all challenges. Loving as Christ loved entails embodying tolerance, compassion, and integrity, creating an atmosphere free from hatred and cruelty.

As we start this new week, let us earnestly pray and endeavor to love one another wholeheartedly. Once again, Happy Father’s Day to all dedicated fathers, and best wishes to everyone for a great week ahead!
